The Newest Team Member: Sammy!

​Sammy loves dirt. You could say it is his specialty. After he graduated from an extensive apprenticeship at the Cal-Earth Institute of Earthen Architecture in 2018, he travelled all across the deserts of the southwest helping people to realize their off-grid earthbag home dreams. Even volunteering to build earthen domes at Hopi Nation for seed storage. Cochise County was among those places he frequented most, building three permanent residencies here while falling in love with the area.

Now, he has built his own super-adobe home made almost entirely from native soil. He’s often found sharing his knowledge with the off-grid community and continuing to further his own skills by exchanging tips with them. It would be his pleasure to share his dirt knowledge with you, too. And to help you find the perfect dirt to live, and build, on.
